No More Lies
SCRIPTURE
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.
— Psalm 139 (NKJV)
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

They didn’t always know what they know now. That lack of knowledge included not really knowing who they were. But that is one of the benefits of maturing.
It is often said that as people age, they should become wiser. That doesn’t always happen, but they can thank God that, when it comes to the things of God, it has been true in their lives.
When they were young, they were insecure and believed every negative thing someone said to them. They were the kind of people caught up in the lies others believe. But they have learned the truth that sets them free, and that knowledge has made all the difference.
Before they had any idea what the term meant—before they had even heard it—they were victims of gaslighting.
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person or group covertly sows seeds of doubt in a targeted individual, making them question their own memory, perception, or judgment.

PRAYER
Father God, thank You for the truth of Your Word. In You is light, and there is no darkness at all.
Your Word promises us, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” You also promised that we would live abundant lives.
Thank You for setting us free from the bonds of sin and death. Help us to live in the fullness of the freedom that Your Son died for us to have. Help us to live in truth and no more lies.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
REFLECTION
“If our minds and hearts are not filled with God’s Truth, something else will take His place: cynicism, occultism, false religions and philosophies, drugs—the list is endless.”
