Dear Eastern Star Church Family,
In the journey of our faith, we often discover that the power of connection can transform lives. Matthew 25:34-40 (MSG) beautifully illustrates this truth, and it is the inspiration behind our theme for 2024 - "Connection."
Just as we embraced the "Keep It R.E.A.L." theme in 2023, which focused on evangelism and discipleship, this year's theme of "Connection" will encourage us to live out our faith authentically and make it relatable to those around us. It is a theme that invites us to be real in our connection with God, our purpose, our fellow believers, our community, and our spiritual practices.
This theme invites us to deepen our connections, drawing closer to God and becoming better equipped to reach out to those who may feel overlooked or ignored, fulfilling the words of Jesus from Matthew 25. As we embrace the "Connection" theme, I invite each one of you to participate in this journey actively. Let us take intentional steps to connect with God, purpose, and our community, extending our love and faith to those in need.
