Meet Extraordinary Students in the Teen Ministry
The IGNITE Teen Ministry ministers to amazing students every week through our programming! This month, we would like to introduce you to some of them!
Hello! My name is Chelsea Murdock.
I am a senior in high school. I enjoy spending time with those I love, performing in various capacities, and doing equity work in my community! In the past year, I been blessed abundantly, including receiving three full-ride scholarship offers, completing my 30th theatre performance with my high school, and receiving numerous academic and extracurricular awards. My favorite scripture is 1 Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. It encourages me as I pursue my daily walk with the Lord and look for His guidance on my path.
Hello! My name is Kaelyn Melson.
I am in the eighth grade. I like to play volleyball and make videos. I made varsity and got into the school I wanted for next year. My favorite scripture is 1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”.
Hello! My name is Jahbury Buchanan.
I am in the eleventh grade. I love to perform, act, and play different roles! I also love creating and showcasing music also! This past year, I’ve been able to produce or be a part of many different creations, such as acting productions, choir performances, dance showcases, and so many more activities! My favorite scripture is Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Regular Teen programming includes Teen Church, Wednesday Bible Study and Rock City Mondays. Teen Church takes place during worship service time on all campuses. Wednesday Bible Study happens on every campus at 7:00pm during Adult Bible Study. Rock City Mondays happens on select Mondays throughout the year.
