Why should I complete New Member classes?
New member classes are important because they help new members
understand the mission, vision and values of Eastern Star Church.
After completing classes, new members will feel more a part of
the Eastern Star community. New Members will also be able to participate
in ministry.
How do I start?
All new members must first join the church by walking down front
at invitation time during worship service and complete the New
Member Enrollment form. Then, attend the next class offering.
Your teacher will provide you with class materials.
What if I miss a class? / Can I mix classes?
It is better that new members stick with one schedule so that
classes will be completed in order. Yet, we do understand that
life happens therefore classes can be mixed.
What about children who are new members?
Children 5-12 currently join through Children’s Church and
only need to attend Children’s Church on a regular basis.
Teens ages 13-19 need to attend Teen New Members classes offered
Wednesdays @ 7pm on the 3rd floor at our main campus.
Is childcare provided at new member classes?
For new members attending Saturday sessions, childcare is provided
in Rm 106B. (Children should bring a sack lunch.)
For new members attending Sunday sessions, children can attend
our Sunday School classes. (For class locations, please see our
Sunday School webpage
or talk with an usher).
