Homebuyer Education Classes at Eastern Star Church
INHP’s classes help people interested in homeownership financially prepare, improve credit and navigate the homebuying process.
While renting doesn’t require a long-term commitment,
it’s still an important decision that could impact your
financial future. This class teaches the pros and cons
of renting vs. buying, the rights and responsibilities
of tenants and landlords, the ins and outs of security
deposits, and leasing types and trends.
This class gives you concrete steps to improve your
credit score so you can qualify for a mortgage. You’ll
learn about consumer reporting agencies, the elements
of a personal credit report and how credit scores impact
your life. Also, learn how to review and read a credit
report so you can better understand what’s on yours.

This class provides tips on how to manage your daily
finances and offers steps you can take to increase your
savings or credit score. You’ll learn how to develop
effective short-term goals that help you reach your
long-term goals, the key components to creating a
budget, as well as how to analyze and
