JEWEL Childcare/Preschool

The JEWEL Childcare/Preschool (JCP) ministry cares for children (infants through pre kindergarten), Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our program admits children of any race, color and national or ethnic origin. In caring for the children our staff's aim is to develop them spiritually, socially, intellectually and physically.

Our History and Mission

The doors to the JEWEL Childcare/Preschool ministry opened on September 6, 1994. The ministry was started as a result of the God given vision of Eastern Star's Pastor, Jeffrey Johnson, Sr.

Pastor Johnson's vision was to develop a high quality Christian environment where children are cared for, loved, nurtured and safe. He wanted families to have a place where they could leave their children and know they are being trained, ministered to and exposed to Christ even while away from home. Thus, our mission as a preschool/child care ministry is to provide a loving, nurturing, safe and healthy Christian environment that maximizes the learning potential of children. As we strive to fulfill the vision and our mission, we hope and attempt to give evidence of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23).

Parent Teacher Organization

The JEWEL Childcare/Preschool ministry recognizes the importance of parental involvement. Consequently, it encourages parents to join the JEWEL Childcare/Preschool Parent Teacher Organization (JCP PTO).
