2014 Hallelujah Celebration—Friday, October 31! Calling all children Preschool through 5th grade! Join us on Friday, October 31 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at theMain Campus, for our annual Hallelujah Celebration. The event is FREE and no advance registration is required! For the safety of the children, adults must accompany children at all times we also need volunteers andcandy. Candy may be delivered to the Church Office at the Main Campus, Mondaythrough Friday from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. or placed in the candy donation bins after service at each campus through Sunday, October 26. We welcome volunteers of all ages to help stuff candy bags on Tuesday, October 28 at 6 p.m. at the Main Campus. We also needvolunteers to help man booths, blow up balloons, serve food, and pass out treat bags on Friday, October 31. If you are looking to serve God and get involved in ministry, please consider becoming a Security and Parking Volunteer. The Music Ministry is seeking volunteers to assist with the worship and song display at the Main and Northwest Campuses.Computer experience requested; software training will be provided. Attention Job Seekers: JEWEL Human Services is partnering with Edna Martin Christian Center for Worksource Training. If you are unemployed and having a hard time getting a job or you want to advance in your current position then try Worksource Training. Training includes three (3) two-hour sessions for building your resume, job searching, networking and more. Please plan to attend 2 out of 3 sessions. ATTENTION, All Married Couples! TODAY is the FINAL DAY to purchase your ticket for our upcoming couple's event called “Love in the Park.” Come join us for a wonderful time of fun, food, and fellowship, awesome activities, and a scenic hayride with other Christian Couples at Eagle Creek Park on Saturday, October 25 from 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The cost is only $20 per couple. The Link Ministry will host the Fit 4 Ministry class where you can learn about your spiritual gifts and where they can be used in ministry at Eastern Star Church. The Eastern Star Church 2015 Youth Basketball League registration begins on Saturday, November 8 and 15 from 9 a.m. to Noon, at the Main Campus. Boys and girls, ages 5-17. Cost is $40.00. The Barnabas Ministry is looking for men & women who are passionate about helping new members get connected to Christ and Eastern Star Church. Members are required to serve at least one Sunday a month, attend monthly ministry meetings and contact new members during the week.
