Pastor Eric Wiggins
Senior Pastor - New Horizons Church, 3rd Eastern Star Church Plant

Pastor Eric L. Wiggins is an anointed and faithful preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He accepted his call from God to preach in 1997, under the leadership of Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson Sr., senior pastor of the Eastern Star Church. Pastor Wiggins holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana. He joined the Eastern Star Church in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1997, and faithfully served in the New Member Follow up Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Prison Ministry, taught in the JEWEL Bible Institute and facilitated marriage workshops at Eastern Star for several years. During this time, Pastor Wiggins also enjoyed a successful career as a business leader in Strategic Planning, Marketing and Sales in the corporate arena.

In obedience to God’s call, Pastor Wiggins committed to ministry full time in 2004, and joined the Eastern Star Church Staff as the Preaching Assistant to Senior Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, Sr. Over the next two and a half years, Pastor Wiggins grew and developed under the direction of the Holy Spirit and the mentorship of Pastor Johnson. Pastor Wiggins assisted Pastor Johnson in preaching Sunday and Communion services, teaching Bible Study, officiating homegoing services, visiting the sick, and performing a host of other pastoral duties.

In 2005, Pastor Wiggins, accompanied by his wife Camille, attended the National Church Planting Assessment Program, in Baltimore, Maryland at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, where Pastor John Jenkins is the senior pastor. After several days of intense lecture, assessment, preaching evaluation, and interviews by pioneer church plant ministers, leaders, and professionals, Pastor Wiggins received the highest rating for pastoral and ministry preparedness of any candidate in the history of the National Church Planting Assessment Program.

God called Pastor Wiggins to pastor and share the Gospel to save souls to the Kingdom. In 2006, Pastor Johnson appointed Pastor Wiggins to be the Senior Pastor of the New Horizons Church, a church plant of Eastern Star Church. New Horizons Church opened its doors on September 10, 2006 and Pastor Wiggins was ordained on December 3, 2006. In less than 3 months, New Horizons Church had several hundred members, over ten ministries in operation and in the first three months saw over 80 people commit to Christ and the church. New Horizons Church continues to grow every week. Whether it is a Sunday service, midweek Bible Study or workshop, Pastor Wiggins boldly declares the Gospel in messages that uplift, encourage, and edify all who hear. Pastor Wiggins clearly presents the Word of God so that people can act on what they have heard and receive what God has for them. With the anointed and spirit filled praise and worship and intercessory prayer, the worship experience at New Horizons is life changing and it delivers on the promise in the motto, that New Horizons Church is the place “where Christ is the way and the Word is clear.”

Pastor Wiggins is a devoted husband to his wife Camille, and loving father of their four children, Eric Josiah, Alaina Camille, Ariana Nicole, and Andrew LaMarr. In his spare time, Pastor Wiggins enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events and he is an avid runner.
