The mission of the Eastern Star Church ministry is evangelism
and discipleship. We are committed to the great commission instituted
by Jesus Christ that of saving souls and nurturing souls that
have been saved. (Matthew 28:18-20). Everything we have done is
to live out this vision that the Lord has given to our church
family. From adding ministries to staffing, from building facilities
to adding programs, from stewardship to membership, it has all
been for the purpose of being obedient to the commission of Christ.
In order to do this we must be committed to excellence at every
level (Philipians 3:12-14). Excellence in service, attitude, humility,
programs, staff, and facility must be committed to.
Our desire should be that the environment of the church has a
certain quality and promote excellence in fellowship, functions,
ministry programs, building design and spiritual lives. We must
encourage our congregation to seek excellence for the Lord in
every endeavor.
Eastern Star must be a well-rounded ministry that is rooted in
Biblical standards and that provides quality service for all who
attend. We must be people-focused, bible-based and doctrinal-purposed
centered on Jesus Christ and complemented with a practical freedom
within ministry (reaching many people, confronting various problems,
and creating numerous solutions). We must do this with a sense
of excellence and outstanding quality in every ministry and service
that we offer.
Jesus shows us "a more excellent way". We must follow His example
by consistently providing the best planning, labor and thought
behind each ministry. We cannot settle for mediocrity.
The future vision of Eastern Star Church will have a permanent
northeast and northwest Indianapolis facility, and church plantings
will show up around the city and the country. By using the Eastern
Star Church model of church growth and meeting people's needs.
Eastern Star Church can assist other churches and staff by helping
them grow and develop and reach even more souls for Christ. TO
GOD BE THE GLORY!
