Frequently Asked Questions for Exhortation Request

1. What should I do if I want to alert the church of a death, illness, hospital stay, or prayer request?

Call Eastern Star Church immediately at 317.591.5050 ext 140 to provide them with your contact information. If no one answers the phone, please leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible.

2. Who can submit an Exhortation Request?

Members of Eastern Star Church and/or family members can submit an Exhortation Request.

3. Who do I call to submit an Exhortation Request?

Call the Eastern Star Church at 317.591.5050 ext 140.

4. When should I call to alert the church of a death, illness, hospital stay, or prayer request?

When you are ready to inform the church about a death, illness, hospital stay, or seeking prayer, call Eastern Star Church Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m at 317.591.5050 ext 140.

5. What happens after the request is submitted?

After the request form is completed by the ESC Exhortation Manager, the form is distributed to Exhortation Ministry, Exhortation Manager and other appropriate officers and leaders

6. Will my information be placed in the Eastern Star Church weekly bulletin?

Information will be placed in the weekly bulletin only if the member indicates this option on the request form.

7. How can I serve in the Exhortation Ministry?

You must be a member of Eastern Star Church, complete a training program, and attend a monthly meeting. Recruitment begins during the Ministry Fair and training begins at a minimum of once per year either January or September or as appropriate for the ministry.
